Acknowledgment

This page explains my terms of service and how I conduct business and work with you, the client.

1.  Please have your written content ready to go when I begin your project. I do not write content because I don't know enough about your business nor how it operates to present your ideas clearly.

2. Don't worry if you aren't that organized, I can help keep track of and remind you of things we discuss.

3. Please email me with any additions or changes, do not leave a voicemail or rely on conversations only. - createnow@designwithphoenix.com

4. My timeline for normal tasks is one hour to three days, depending on the complexity and length of the project.

5. It is ideal to spend a few hours with me at the beginning of your project so that we can discuss your needs and start on the same page. If you don't have the time to meet to share your vision, I may not be the person for the job.

If I send you an email/text regarding your project and you don't respond within 24-48 hours, we may need to renegotiate our contract as I sometimes need prompt replies for design decisions.

6. I don't necessarily use templates for my graphic design work but if I do it's for the sake of saving time and money for you. However, I usually heavily modify the template I am using, and can built a website from scratch with Wix or Squarespace.

7. All work is done in the USA, As much as the fact you might be in another country and like my services receiving money from external sources is very costly for the user who is sending the money to the United States so if I was to charge $100 of my services your bank or service and exchange rate is going to be astronomically high in cost for you to send me a small amount of money for the United States. So because of that it's something that isn't financially feasible for both parties.

Webplatforms

Wix vs. Squarespace vs. Wordpress

Here is the Breakdown

(With Chart Comparison)

Platform Usage, Ease of Use

• Wix is a Lego styled put anything where you want without all that much structure or limits, Wix is a "WYSIWYG" platform.

• You can somewhat easily make each page of your site look completely different a great example of this is if you wanted to mix Legos, Big blocks and playdoh Wix will totally allow you to do that. if you want your buttons on your site to be looking different wix will let you do that.

• A downside to using wix and them being WYSIWYG is that with there platform you have to do double the work for both Mobile and Desktop users who come to your site, it be an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Video Support

• Adding videos to your site wix will host them locally on there servers, and will also support more options such as youtube and other integrations for showing videos.

Storage

• Wix doesn't mention anything about your bandwidth limitation at all so seems as tho this is all handed by Wix so is unlimited.

Squarespace Logo

Professional Ease of Use

Squarespace is a Lego styled put blocks/elements where you want that has structure, along with being professional in nature.

You can design your website without having zero stress about designing your mobile site and desktop versions of your site. All you do is design your website for desktop usage that you want users to see and then it also going to look great on mobile at the same time without double the work at all.

Design Limitations
Colors, some text are a global in nature which means if you want H1 on one page to be red, and then you want it blue on a different page it can only be one or the other.

Handling Video Media
Adding videos to your site requires you to upload them to Youtube first.

Customer Support

• Customer Support is only provided through email, and Text chat from squarespace. You can spend a few hours in confusion if you ever have problems with your squarespace account.

Wordpress Logo

Ease of use is bad for normal users

• Wordpress doesn't have ease of use to jump in an launch your site without trying to spend 2 weeks just learning how to just get in and just feel like you don't need to read a fighter jet manual to go through the 35+ procedures in order to get moving and flying your plane.

• Wordpress can be confusing with them running 2 platforms .com and .org where one is based on you using a sort of very complex approach of you uploading custom HTML code that you, yourself make and then host, so you would have to use an HTML editor such as Notepad++ or Dreamweaver to create your site which isn't very fun and your looking at months to launching your site instead of under a week, where 90% of the underlying code and platform is done for you pretty much and can be more user-friendly.

High Cost and Complexity

• Requires lots of plugins and overhead to allow your site to get up off the ground and allow your site to have functionally.

You have to install your own plugins that allows you have the same simple ease of use as what Squarespace and Wix uses.

• No Stock WYSIWYG editor you have to install a plugin/external application to add that type of functionality to your website and that always isn't easy.

Cost Complexity
• Wordpress doesn't normally host your site directly. This can result in high cost. You have to also then manage the amount of traffic and bandwidth that your bring to your site. This can be the result of your site going down if you reach your bandwidth cap for the month resulting in you having to then having to then buy more bandwidth to try and bring your site backup online.

Configuration
• Wordpress is most often using for writing blog sites, but with configuration will all you to change the mode in which your site isn't a blog but is more of a normal type of site.

High level complexity hard to get started

• With huge complexity to just get started it can make it very difficult for very simple users to get up and running quickly
